Altizer, Andrew Jordan

Andrew Jordan Altizer, age 23, of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at his home. Born July 13, 1999, he was a son of Larry T. Altizer, Jr. and Teresa Altizer Coleman.

Andrew was a member of Johnston’s Chapel in Princeton, WV. He enjoyed the outdoors—fishing, archery, and riding his dirt bike. Andrew was very quiet, and he had a big heart. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Thomas “Tom” Altizer, Sr.

He is survived by his parents, Larry T. Altizer, Jr. and Teresa Coleman and husband Ray of North Tazewell, VA; one brother, John Thomas Altizer and wife Hope of Bluefield, WV; maternal grandparents, Bennie and Nola Meadows of Peterstown, WV; paternal grandmother, Nancy Altizer Closson and husband Joe of Lake Placid, FL; and many other cousins and extended family members.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor John Altizer officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
