Alderman, Effie Martin

Effie Marie Alderman passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her home. She was born in Carroll County, VA to Steven Solomon and Mildred Bernice Martin on August 25, 1931. Marie was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Marlin Preston, Elmer Ray, and Elden Blaine.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Pratt Alderman of Blacksburg; children, Edward Wayne Alderman (Linda) of Kemah, TX, Jane Marie Hall (Mark) of Hot Springs, VA; grandsons, Robert Benton Alderman (Amy) of Missouri City, TX, Austin Ryan Hall of Hot Springs, VA, and Travis Michael Hall of Hot Springs, VA; great-granddaughter, Tennyson Blaire Alderman of Missouri City, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Dulaney officiating. A private burial will take place at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
