All who knew Mom are welcomed to attend either of the two services that will be held to honor Mom and celebrate her life. The first will be on Wednesday, August 28 at 4pm at Rosborough Hall in Asbury Methodist Village, her most recent home and community.

The second will be on Friday, August 30 in Blacksburg, Virginia starting at 2pm with a service at McCoy Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service and then a reception where we will tell more stories and drink Mom’s favorite beverages, black coffee and chardonnay. In honor of Mom, limited water will be served.

Mom was a practical person and she never wasted ANYTHING, so If you wish to donate, please consider one of these worthy causes that she actively supported:

Montgomery County (Virginia) Retired Teachers Association
Mom loved this group when she was in Christiansburg and the retired teachers help send deserving students to college.

Project Linus. Mom and her knitting group made many wonderful baby blankets for this group. The blankets were distributed to new mothers in need and if they got one of the blankets Mom made, it would have been beautiful. https://www.projectlinus.org/donate.php

Montgomery County Virginia Mental Health Association. Mom was on the board of the association for many years.

Last, but certainly not least
Kamala Harris Campaign

Mom and Dad were both very active in local politics and she was gravely concerned about this year’s election. There will be one less letter writer this year so I hope someone reading this will step up and fill Mom’s shoes with both dollars and canvassing.
