8/22: Floyd Living Traditions Festival
The Floyd Living Traditions Festival Returns – Saturday, August 22, 2026! Join us for the award winning, 4th annual Floyd Living Traditions Festival, an all-day celebration of Floyd County’s art and music traditions.
Presented by the Floyd Center for the Arts in partnership with the Floyd Country Store’s Handmade Music School, this free festival brings together artists, musicians, tradition bearers, and families for a vibrant day of live performances, craft demonstrations, hands-on activities, exhibitions, artisan vendors, local food, and more.
Last year, more than 1,900 people attended the festival, making it one of the largest and most vibrant community celebrations in Floyd County.
Across the festival grounds, visitors will experience traditional and contemporary Appalachian craft through live demonstrations and interactive experiences that celebrate the creativity and cultural heritage of our region. From music and dance to handmade craft and storytelling, the festival offers something for all ages to enjoy.
Additional details about performances, demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions, and special activities will be announced throughout the summer.
