Gore, Pamela Dillow

Gore, Pamela Dillow 2Pamela Gaye Dillow Gore March 1, 1950 — June 25, 2026

After a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Pamela D. Gore entered her eternal rest and went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.

Pam was born on March 1, 1950, to the late Garland (Granddaddy) and Eleanor (Grandmother) Dillow of Bastian, Virginia.

She leaves behind her husband and best friend of 50 years, Keith Gore; sons Adam and David; five beloved grandsons, Braiden (Brooke), Jaxson, Karson, Maddox, and Michael; sister Rita and brother-in-law Teddy Bradshaw; and many nieces and nephews. The family gives special thanks to her sister Rita Bradshaw for the love and support she showed her sister and to nephew Dr. Travis Bradshaw for his faithful and constant check-ins that meant so much to Pam.

For 41 years, Pam poured her heart into the children of Bland County Public Schools. She took early retirement to care for her father, a testament to the selfless love that defined her life.

Anyone who knew Pam, knew her passion: children. Generations of students, now grown, remember her as the one who saw them, believed in them, and changed their lives with simple acts of kindness. She was every child’s dream — teaching Sunday school, playing the organ at church, and loving her family without measure. Pam’s greatest joy was gathering loved ones around her table, serving meals seasoned with laughter and love.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate hospice team — Becky, Bethany, Sally, Tara, Emilee, Amy, and their entire staff — for the extraordinary care, dignity, and love they showed Pam in her final days. The family would like to thank Mark Smith for the many times he stopped by just to pray and talk with her. A special thanks to Melinda Belcher, Melanie Peery, Pam’s Aunt Ruby Estep, and several others who gave special attention to Pam.

We celebrate a life beautifully lived, a legacy of love, and a faith that never wavered.

Pam’s last clear words:

“Get my boys to Heaven

Get my grand boys to Heaven.”

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Bastian Church of God with Dr. Travis Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.

Pam’s sons Adam and David, and grandsons Braiden, Jaxson, Karson, and nephew Tracy Bradshaw will serve as pall bearers. Maddox and Michael will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Pam’s memory by supporting a child in need — just as she did for so many.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
