Walton, Amelia Moorefield

Amelia Moorefield Walton, age 93, of McCoy, died on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Danville, VA, on November 5, 1932, to the late James Franklin and Evelyn Bradner Moorefield. She was the oldest of eleven children and was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Stuart White; grandchild, Jennifer White; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Ellison, Harriet Carr, Katherine Wampler (Eddie), Yancey Smith (Osmond); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no services.
