Sheppard, Jeffrey Kent

Jeffrey “Kenny” Sheppard, of Christiansburg, Virginia , passed away on May 24,2026, at the age of 69. He was born in Christiansburg on July 15, 1956.

Kenny was a lifelong bachelor who enjoyed life on his own terms and found great joy in cheering on his favorite teams, the Washington Redskins and the Virginia Tech Hokies. He was also a proud Army veteran and will be remembered for his service to his country, as well as for the simple passions and loyalty that defined his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest “Shep” Sheppard and Dorothy Sheppard, and his brother Timothy “Dick” Sheppard. He is survived by his sister, Linda Gail Stewart; special cousin Wilma Hylton (Daryl); nephew Richard (Kris); nieces, Stephanie (Dan) and Stacy (Jeff); as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He will be dearly remembered by those who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a visitation Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:00 with the service to follow at Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Garden, Dublin, Va.
