Adkins, Carol Harper
Carol Adkins, age 75 of Springfield, Ohio, went to be with the lord on April 26, 2026. Carol was born on September 9, 1950, in Hinton, West Virginia, to the late David and Alice Harper.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger Adkins; daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Hubbard; son, Jonathan (Trisha) Adkins; grandsons, Andrew (Haley) Hubbard, Aden Hubbard, Drew Adkins, Braiden Barcus, and Caiden Stelzer (Kenzie), all of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Barry (Patty) Harper of Peterstown, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Rita (Dave) Rhodabarger; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was employed at Giles Memorial Hospital as a Respiratory Therapy Technician for 7 years, Forrest W. Crocker as a medical assistant for 12 years, and at CVS Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician for 20 years.
She enjoyed taking walks with her friends and playing the piano. Spending time with her grandsons, watching them play baseball, and hearing all about what they were up to brought her so much joy. She will always be remembered for her gentle, kind spirit, sweet smile, and warm giggle that would warm anyone’s heart. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm, with services beginning at 4:00 pm at Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield, Ohio 45503.
We will also receive friends and family on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 111 Market St, Peterstown, West Virginia 24963. The service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
