3/29: Radford City Public Schools Art Show 5The show includes the works of students from Radford High School, John N. Dalton Intermediate School, Belle Heth Elementary and McHarg Elementary. The exhibit features a wide variety of works, including drawings and paintings, 3-Dimensional sculptural pieces, and a special Black-Light installation. The show will also debut a new element, which is one piece each by the four Radford City Public School art teachers: Tarri Gauck, McHarg Elementary; Michelle Saunders, Belle Heth Elementary; Kristy Bryant, Dalton Intermediate School; and Sarah Blackburn, Radford High School.

3/29: Radford City Public Schools Art Show 6Under the instruction of Michelle Saunders, a new dynamic has been added to the annual show with the 3rd – 6th grade art students at Belle Heth. They’re presenting Creative, Cooperative Collaborations with media works that began with 5th and 6th grade students who were asked to draw a large animal that filled the entire page. The 3rd and 4th grade students then colored the drawings. At the end of the collaborative project, the 5th and 6th grade students returned to the work and outlined and finished the art project. Additional artworks are on display at Radford’s School Board Office.

We encourage the community to visit and show their support for these talented Bobcats. Glencoe Mansion is free to visit and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.
