Lovely barn, foggy morning attract photographers
Mike Gummer of Christiansburg won The Radford Photo Club’s November challenge, barns, with a photo taken on his second visit to photograph this handsome Shawsville barn. “The painted tin roof and dual silos combine for a rather unique look,” he said. “The autumn colors and hay bales provided extra visual appeal. Weathered old barns make great photo subjects, and I’ll likely be back to shoot this one again.”
Tracy Burlingame of Riner decided to bring her camera on her morning walk, and won the club’s open category competition. “It was a foggy morning and I thought I could get some good photos,” she said. “The sun was rising just at the right time. The beams were just coming through the tree beautifully.”
A photo shoot outing is planned for Monday, Dec.15, at 10 a.m. at the Inn at Virginia Tech to photograph the holiday decorations. Contact if you intend to come: mrsjafranklin@hotmail.com
