Dunn, Wilma Curnell
We mourn the loss of Wilma Dunn, age 84, who passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at her home. Born on April 4, 1940, in Lindside, WV, she was the beloved daughter of the late Russell and Virginia Curnell.
Wilma attended Union High School and graduated in 1957. She continued her studies at Concord College. Wilma dedicated 40 years of her life as a teacher, positively impacting the lives of countless students.
She was married to James R. Dunn in 1962, and they were blessed with two children, Kristi A. Lemaster (Kenneth Jr.) and William R. Dunn. Wilma also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren, J.D. Broadwater and Sydni Broadwater.
In her spare time, Wilma enjoyed spending time with her church family and was a dedicated member of her church. She will be remembered for her kind heart and unwavering faith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the funeral home.
