Meadows, Stella Lafon

Stella Jane Lafon Meadows, 84, of Glen Lyn, VA., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Stella was born on May 19, 1939, in Virginia and was a daughter of the late Ray Brown Lafon and Edna Josephine Neff Lafon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Randolph Meadows and 1 sister, Ilda Ezlee French

Stella was a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows, she was a member of the Glen Lyn Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of God. Stella had a passion for quilting, writing, poetry, reading the bible and art. Everyone who was lucky enough to know her knew that she loved to color pictures and give them away to her family and friends. She also loved to show off her amazing hand made quilts. She was always singing songs she made up, laughing and dancing around with her great grandchildren. She is survived by 3 sons, Clayton Eugene Meadows (Roberta) of NC, Henry Allen Meadows (Melanie) of Oakvale, WV, Anthony Meadows, NC, 11 grandchildren, Jason, Shannon, Corey, Greg, Crysti, Alex, Jordan, Dakota, Selah, Amanda, Kimberley, numerous great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Edna Virginia Shell of Narrows and Carlene Marshall of Dinwiddie.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 1pm at the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with the Rev. Steve Howdock officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Healing Hearts Canine Rescue-PACC rescue.
