Mattox, Judith Quarterman

Judith Amy Mattox of Blacksburg, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 03, 2024. Judy was born October 25, 1943, to the late William H. Quarterman, Jr. and Naomi A. Shaver. Judy retired in 2004 from the law offices of Frith and Pierce and David T. Mullins after 42 years as a legal secretary.

Judy loved her family, friends, the Virginia Tech Hokies, NASCAR racing, and last but not least her beloved cats.

Survivors include her son, William Shane Mattox; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Jeff Raines; brothers and sisters-in-law William “Butch” Quarterman, Richard “Buddy” and Peggy Quarterman, David and Cheryl Shaver, Lester and Louie Shaver; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on April 10, 2024, prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home.
