Fall has arrived! It is that wonderful time of the year again when the leaves are changing and the air starts getting a bit crisper! Come outdoors with Blacksburg Parks and Recreation and enjoy the fall foliage!

Saturday, October 14 from 8am – 3pm
Enjoy horseback riding through the mountains and countryside. This guided horseback ride is a two-hour obstacle clinic with a trail ride through water crossings, wooded trails, and open pasture.
AGE: 11+ Parent or guardian attendance required for youth under 16. The cost is $60 for residents and $70 for non-residents.
Fall Foliage Rafting Float on the New River
Saturday, October 21 from 9am – 5pm
Enjoy the New River while floating in our raft and enjoy the beautiful colors and sounds of fall. This is a relaxing, laid back float with some exciting class rapids. All equipment is provided.
AGE:11+ Parent or guardian attendance required for youth under 16. The cost is $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents.
Saturday, October 28 from 9am – 5pm
Biking is a great way to explore the outdoors. During this 19-mile ride, you will discover the beauty of the New River Trail in the fall via bicycle. Join in on the two-wheel fun! Bike rental, guide, and transportation included.
AGE: 11+ Parent or guardian attendance required for youth under 16. The cost is $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
Saturday, November 4 from 12-7pm
Adult participants will get a guided, relaxing, 4-hour float on our raft down the New River from Eggleston to Pembroke. Afterwards, dinner and beverages on your own at the Palisades Restaurant.
The cost is $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents.
