4/15: Debbie Seagle & Dan Smith at the Soup Shop
Debbie Seagle and Dan Smith, noted authors who live in our region, will be signing their books Saturday, April 15, 1-3 p.m. at The Soup Shop in Floyd.
Seagle will sign copies of her hilarious #1 bestselling book, “Coffee Cups & Wine Glasses,” and its follow-up, “10 Steps To Get Over Dick Head.” These irreverent, touching, inspiring books lead you through the challenge of getting through a loss with your sanity and your heart intact.
They are written from a woman’s perspective who must find her way through the torment, humiliation, adventure, and challenges of divorce (with a sense of humor). Debbie was a newspaper columnist, senior technical writer, and airshow director who has lived all over the world, was a native of Dublin, and now lives in Radford.
DISCLAIMER: The author is not responsible for the embarrassment of uncontrollable laughter should you read her books in public.
Legendary journalist Smith is a member of the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame, and the recipient of numerous journalism awards. He has written eight books and thousands of magazine and newspaper articles. Dan was co-founder of the magazine FRONT and his most recent two novels, “NEWS!,” and “CLOG!” have had significant sales success.
“NEWS!,” which was released this past July is the story of a young journalist in 1969 when both the country and the world of journalism were undergoing significant changes. It is a fictional account of real events during that tumultuous era.
One of Smith’s books is being reviewed for screen production.
