$205,291 grant for Drug Delivery Research
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Virginia Tech a $205,291 grant for pharmacology, physiology and biological chemistry research related to a micropump for continuous drug delivery. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“Advanced drug delivery devices provide treatments to many patients. These devices allow appropriate continuous delivery of medicine for a variety of conditions.”
“This grant for $205,291 supports Virginia Tech in its research of a pulse-driven micropump for continuous drug delivery.”
