11/5: NRV TimeBank’s Repair Café
The Habitat ReStore is hosting the New River Valley Timebank’s Repair Café from 10AM-2PM Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1675 N. Franklin St. This is a free event that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. Services available will include furniture and small appliance repair, knife and tool sharpening, plant re-potting, clothing repair and alterations, and toy repair. Anyone interested in volunteering at the ReStore for this event can do so by visiting the Event Volunteer section at habitatnrv.org/sign-up. Those interested in assisting with repairs should reach out directly to the NRV Timebank by e-mailing nrvtimebank@gmail.com.
