YMCA Offers Town Employees Membership
The Town of Pulaski in partnership with the Pulaski County YMCA will offer all town employees a full membership in the Y. Membership will include the use of all YMCA of Pulaski County facilities during regular business hours. Employees will be responsible for paying all upgraded costs for additional family members, classes, personal training, lockers, etc.
Jackie Reid, Town of Pulaski Human Resources Manager, shared with town council that “This is something that the Town has been negotiating and working on for several years, but the cost was not feasible until recent conversations between Mr. Todd Day, Pulaski Town Manager, and Mr. Dave Adkins, CEO of the YMCA of Pulaski County, led to a new plan and billing model.”
Reid further stated, “Providing employees with a health and wellness plan, such as the employee membership at the YMCA, is not only valuable for recruitment and retention, but has been shown to reduce absenteeism, reduce stress, improve both job performance and employee satisfaction, and ultimately reduce health care costs.”
Pulaski Town Manager, Todd Day said, “This partnership provides an amazing opportunity to join ranks with a local business and to also work towards protecting the health and physical fitness of each of our employees, which ultimately retains work quality.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Town of Pulaski in offering this valuable benefit to every town employee. We look forward to welcoming the Town of Pulaski family to their YMCA, said Pulaski County YMCA CEO, Dave Adkins.”
