Wynn, Bonnie Vass

Bonnie Vass Wynn, 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wynn was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Roy L. and Gertrude Shockley Vass. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Wynn; and sister, Gaye Marshall.

Mrs. Wynn served as a faculty member at New River Community College for 33 years.

Survivors include her step-son and spouse, Thomas and Sylvia Wynn; nieces and spouses, Donna and Bo Monday and Diana and Richard Knowles; great-nieces and great-nephew, Bethany and Derek Hinkley, Hannah Monday, and Aaron and Christina Pack.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steven Puckett officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bonnie Wynn Endowed Scholarship Fund at New River Community College.
