Worthington, Jo Ann

Jo Ann Worthington, 83 of Radford, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 5th, 2024. She was born December 21st, 1940. Jo Ann is now in heaven walking with angels, with her beautiful smile and sweet giggles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Worthington, who passed away June 17th, 2024. She was also proceeded in death by her brother, John Justice and two sisters, Ada and Shirley.

Survivors include her son, Billy Worthington and daughter-in-law Kathy Worthington;

Daughter, Kennette Jones; son, Jeff McPeake; daughter, Tammy Dye; 4 grandchildren, Koty Jones, Carlie McPeake, Shaelyn Harmon, and Wyatt Harmon; 1 great granddaughter, Brielle Jones; and PEEKABOO her beloved cat.

Jo Ann Worthington (Jodie) worked at Kmart in Fairlawn, Va. for 30 years. She was so proud of all of her customer service awards and employee of the month awards. She loved all her customers. She loved to fish and could shoot a rifle better than most men. Jodie was a very hard worker and supported her family. She enjoyed being able to be home with her granddaughter, Carlie, and watching her grow up.

Services will be at the church she loved so much, River City Christian Church, 1301 West Main Street, Radford VA, 24141, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, at 7pm.
