* WHAT…Freezing rain. Total ice accumulation up to one tenth of a an inch.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia, especially along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

* WHEN…Until 10 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Temperatures are expected to rise above
freezing as heavier rain moves into the area later this morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
