* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch possible.

* WHERE…Portions of south central Virginia, north central North Carolina and southeast West Virginia.

* WHEN…From late Wednesday night through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
