Winter Storm Expected To Impact Region Saturday Night. An area of Low pressure is expected to develop along the central Gulf coast Saturday, then move northeast to along the Mid-Atlantic coast by Sunday morning. This will result in a period of
moderate to heavy snow Saturday night and early Sunday.

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible.

* WHERE…Portions of central, south central, southwest and west central Virginia, north central and northwest North Carolina and southeast West Virginia.

* WHEN…From Saturday evening through Sunday morning.
