Wickline, Clyde Douglas
Clyde Douglas “Doug” Wickline, aged 63, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, surrounded by his family and after a short illness. Born May 5, 1962,
Doug was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A man of great integrity, he was respected by all who knew him. A 1980 graduate of Peterstown High School, he served for four honorable years in the US Army, and had an amazing work ethic, first at Virginia Lime, Celanese, Pulaski Furniture, and the Radford Arsenal, retiring in June 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Wickline; mother and stepfather, Frankie & Don Rice; sister, Angie Wickline; stepsons, Brian and Gary Suttle; and Grandson-in-law, Rob Ruth.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over thirty years, Peggy Canerday Wickline; son, MacKenzie Wickline and wife Maggie (Boggess); daughter, Nichole Peery & husband Jesse; Brother and Sister-in-law, Jerry and Rhetta Wickline; Sisters, Sandra King and Connie Wickline. Grandchildren, Bryson Hatmaker, Braylie Hatmaker, Jase Peery, Tonya Ruth, Tiffany Suttle, Tamara Raleigh, and Sasha Suttle; thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; special nieces Kimberly & Jennifer Crawford; and nephews Justin Wickline and Chad Cantrell; and a number of additional nieces and nephews, dear friends and co-workers, all of whom he cherished.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with his brother-in-law, Rev. Kyle Canerday, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30AM until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
