White, Wanda Cox
Wanda Ellen White, age 68, of Elliston, Virginia died, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Floyd, Virginia on September 18, 1956, to the late Raymond and Doris Boyd Cox. In addition to her parents Wanda is preceded in death by her four brothers Clay, Donnie, Larry, and Jay Cox; as well as a great-grandchild Elliott.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Wayne White; daughter Shelly White; son Scott Wayne White (Kassie); sisters and brothers-in-law Vickie Surratt (Tony), Virginia Altizer, Ethel Estes (Harold), and Helen Smith (Richard); sister-in-law Tonia Danker (Kevan); grandchildren Nate (Anna) White, Austin White, and Jasmine White; great-grandchildren Remington White and Brantlee White; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Wanda loved the lord, animals, and caring for her community. During her life, she served her community as a nurse, special needs bus attendant, and volunteer for the Red Cross as well as a special needs camp.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.
