Update on Blacksburg Bomb Threat 4At 10:58 AM this morning, the Blacksburg Police Department received two separate reports of bomb threats at the Hyatt Place Blacksburg, located at 650 University City Blvd, and the Residence Inn, located at 850 Prices Fork Road. A search of both properties was conducted with the assistance of CPD, MCSO, Virginia Tech Police Department, VSP, MC Emergency Management, ATF, US Marshalls, Blacksburg Rescue, and Blacksburg Fire. Upon completion of the search, nothing was located. At this time, all emergency services have cleared the scene.

This remains an active investigation. The BPD reminds everyone to stay vigilant; if you see something, say something.
