Two found dead in Blacksburg

The Blacksburg Police Department responded to the parking garage located at 723 University City Blvd for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased juveniles, as well as a weapon, inside the vehicle. Both juveniles have been identified as students enrolled at Blacksburg High School.

The Blacksburg Police Department and the Town of Blacksburg are working with Montgomery County Public Schools to ensure that any services MCPS staff or students may need are available. Investigators have been in contact and notified the next-of-kin for both individuals. It is the policy of the Blacksburg Police Department not to release the names of juveniles. At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.
