Trent, John HenryJohn ‘Bud’ Henry Trent, a man whose life was a testament strength, loyalty, and unwavering love, passed away on August 11, 2024. Born on December 5 1955, Bud touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.

Bud was a strong role model, always there for those who often found themselves without support. His loyalty and friendship were unwavering, making him a pillar in the lives of many. As a loving and caring individual, he took care of those around him, truly embody the qualities of a wonderful husband and father. Outside of his dedication to his family and friends, Bud found solace and joy in his hobbies of hunting and fishing. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in the great outdoors. The world has lost a remarkable soul, but Bud’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In his passing, Bud is reunited with his father, John H. Trent, and mother, Collean Trent. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who loved Bud dearly

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Freda Trent, his daughters Susan (and husband Bryan), April (and husband Justin), Joanie (and husband Walter), and a host of grandchildren – John, Kayla, Tristian, Alana, Devin, Cameron, Se’Anna, Lydia, Kendra, Gabrail, Gracie, Abby, Riley, Emma, and Aiyana.

A visitation in memory of Bud will be held on August 16, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Christiansburg, VA.

In the embrace of his family and friends, Bud found the true essence of happiness. May his spirit continue to inspire us all to be kind, generous, and loving individuals, just as he was in his lifetime. Bud will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to thank the staff of LewisGale Montgomery for everything they did for ‘Bud’.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024 from noon until 1 pm. A graveside service will be held directly after at 1:00 pm in the Reesedale Cemetery.
