Taylor, Jacob Arless
Jacob Arless “Rooster” Taylor, 30 of Narrows, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at his home. Jacob was born on December 28, 1993, in Pulaski, VA and was a son of Thomas Eugene Taylor and his mother, Mary Ann Stowers Taylor. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude and Betty Taylor and his maternal grandparents, John and Phyllis Stowers.
Jacob was a 2012 graduate of Narrows High School, playing in the band, as well as the varsity soccer team. His love of music continued after high school, playing many instruments and writing music. He loved the outdoors, including fishing with his dad. He would drive many hours, just to fish for half an hour. He loved his family, his friends and loved meeting new people. He was one who could lighten up any mood, making sure everyone felt welcomed and enjoyed making people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who were close to him and knew him.
Besides his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Elaina Brooke Taylor of Dublin, Rebecca Lynn Stinson (Derrick) of Roanoke, 2 nieces, Ella Grace Tickle, Freya Rosalie Franks and nephew, Dean Thomas Stinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Dan Nichols, Preacher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service, from 1 – 2 pm.
