Sullivan, Nettye Jeanne

Nettye Jeanne Sullivan, age 92, of Blacksburg, Virginia, went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

Born Nettye Jeanne Anderson, August 5, 1926 to R.E. and Anna (Cleone) Anderson in Fort Worth, Texas Jeanne grew up in Fort Worth and in Guymon, Oklahoma. She attended Texas State College for Women (now Texas Women’s University), graduating with a degree in drama. She married Robert Allison Sullivan (Bob) of Pampa, Texas on June 1, 1948. They were married for 57 years until Bob’s death in 2005, and they had three sons and a daughter who were raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jeanne taught 4th grade at Tavelli Elementary for approximately 20 years.

Jeanne loved her Lord Jesus and her family. Always up for adventure, she also loved to dance, to travel the country by motorhome with Bob, to sing in church and community choirs, to sew and crochet gifts, and to shop.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her infant brother Norman Anderson, her brother Horace Norton Anderson, and her husband Robert Allison Sullivan.

Jeanne is survived by Greg (Lynn Lefkoff) and daughter Nia, Mark (Sherri) and daughter Tyler, Jay (Debbie) and daughter Allison (Dell) Peters, sons Kevin (Jillian), Peter (Kristin Ohaneson), Luke, and Corey, and Rebecca (Craig) Podsednik and sons Adam (Jennifer) Camp and Sean (Sara) Camp. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Olivia and Benjamin Camp, Izzy and Liam Peters, and Micah Sullivan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship Church.
