Stewart, Jr., Robert Thomas
Robert “Sonny” Thomas Stewart, Jr., 81, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thomas, Sr. and Pearl Kesterson Stewart; his wives, Nancy Gardner Stewart and Janice Fleenor Stewart; and his sister, Josephine Sandy.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Jennifer Stewart; daughter, Lori Sharp; grandchildren, Will Stewart and Molly Stewart; great-granddaughter, Madeline Webber; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and B.F. Beasley, and Barbara Bond; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara Stewart; caregiver, Reba Crawford; and many other family members and friends.
Sonny enjoyed being in the presence of his friends whether it be playing golf or poker. He was a bright light (hence the nickname), and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Per his request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Stewart family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

So sorry for your loss. We had lots of fun with Bob and Nancy at the Elks Club in Christiansburg. He was a kind and considerate man.

I was saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. I have fond memories of playing golf with him at old Round Meadow back in the day! We had become FB friends over the last few years and I enjoyed catching up with him. Thinking of you all! 🙏
