Sowers, Frances Poff

Frances Poff Sowers, 76, of Pilot, went to be with the Lord on Friday March 14, 2025. She was a member of Beaver Creek Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Millard and Ruby Poff; Son: Jack Thurston; grandson: Michael Thurston; two brothers and two sisters. Survived by Husband James W. Sowers; two sons: Gary Thurston (Brandy), Mark Thurston (Angela); daughter: Pamela Sowers; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers: Millard “Junior” Poff (Frances), Herbert “Buddy” Poff (Shirley); numerous nieces and nephew.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday March 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Retreat Family Cemetery, Floyd. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 18, 2025, at Gardner Funeral Home from 5 until 7 PM.
