Slippery Roads This Morning
Bands of snow showers will continue across the mountains through mid or late morning before tapering off. This may result in another inch of snow through 10 AM, especially across Pulaski and Carroll counties. Otherwise with temperatures continuing to fall, the threat for slick spots will persist even where precipitation has ended. Use extra caution, especially on bridges and overpasses. Be alert for black ice.
In addition, gusty winds will produce wind chills from 5 to 20 degrees this morning. Scattered snow showers will continue west of the Blue Ridge through mid morning.
Multiple accidents have been reported on I-81 this morning with black ice being a big problem.
