Slippery roads possible from Black Ice overnight
Snow has melted partially or completely across the area Sunday afternoon. The potential exists for water from melted snow to refreeze tonight, producing a thin layer of black ice, as temperatures fall into the 20s overnight tonight. Black ice has the appearance of wet pavement but can lead to hazardous travel when temperatures are below freezing.
Be aware of areas of black ice developing tonight into overnight. If you see wet pavement, drive slowly and cautiously.
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing early Monday morning, ending the threat of black ice.
