Silveira to Lead Building Supply Group

Kevin Silveira, an executive in the building materials industry, has joined The Lester Group as vice president.

Silveira, 52, is responsible for the five building supply stores The Lester Group operates in Virginia and for Fortress Door Company, an architectural door manufacturer in Fredericksburg. The stores are Lester Building Supply in Martinsville, New River Valley Building Supply in Christiansburg, Taylor Bros. in Lynchburg, the Jim Carpenter Co. in Fredericksburg and Building Supply of Manassas.

Silveira joins The Lester Group from National Lumber Co., where he was Vice President of Sales. He started his career with National Lumber as an Account Manager in 2002.

Lester’s building supply stores carry a full range of products to build or repair a house. Products include lumber, plywood, engineered flooring, windows, doors, columns, decking, kitchen cabinets, molding, millwork, roofing, insulation, siding, tools and hardware.

In addition to building supply stores, The Lester Group is involved in manufacturing treated lumber and doors, management of forest land and real estate development in Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia. The Lester Group is celebrating 125 years in business, starting as a sawmill in Martinsville.
