Update: Shooting Incident in Radford 2**** UPDATE****
The following individuals have been arrested from the April 17, 2025 incident:
Dominick Anderson, 23 years old of Roanoke, has been charged with:
• Conspiracy to commit robbery
• Conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding
• Conspiracy to use a firearm in the commission of a felony
Anderson is being held without bond at The New River Valley Jail.

Following the investigation into the shooting incident on April 17, 2025, charges have been filed against two individuals in connection to the crime:

Robert Leonard, 47 years old of Radford, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Aggravated malicious wounding
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony

Sidney Schwartz, 22 years old of Elliston, has been charged with:

  • Conspiracy to commit robbery
  • Conspiracy to use a firearm in the commission of a felony
  • Conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding

No bond information is available at this time. This investigation remains active and ongoing. Further details will be released as they become available.

On April 17, 2025, at approximately 3:03 PM, Radford City Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of East Main Street.
At this time, there are two gunshot victims; their conditions are currently unknown. Please avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
The incident is being investigated by the Radford City Police Department. Anyone with information is urged to contact 540-731-3624.
