Sadler, Susan Woodyard
Susan Amanda Sadler, 61, of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Saturday morning, October 26, 2024, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Susan was born November 21, 1962 in Leon, FL. She began her journey as the daughter of the late Mary Woodyard, and was raised by her grandmother, Janie Woodyard and a special aunt, Eleanor, and the late Bane Stafford.
Susan was also preceded in death by two of her brothers, Randy Solomon and Michael Brown.
Susan met the love of her life of 40 years, William Sadler, while he was working on his farm milking cows. They settled down on Sunny Ridge and started a family, having one daughter, Amanda Sadler Osborne.
Susan had a few jobs through the years, but her main job was taking care of her family. Susan ended up having a series of health problems that kept her confined to her home, but, she still managed to be a loving wife, great mother and an awesome dog sitter.
Her Facebook page and her tablet was her way to reach out and touch the world. She would share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her Gospel music and enjoyed making new friends. She had a way of traumatizing you with the truth, leaving you speechless and having you laughing by the time your conversation was completed with her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, William, her daughter & son-in-law, Amanda & Nicholas Osborne, her sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Kevin Grissom, her brother, Steve Solomon, her sisters-in-law, Betty Price and Marlene Fontaine, special cousin, Luther Bane Stafford, special friend, Kathy Stafford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Mike Reynolds and Pastor Derick Burton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 P.M. until service time, 6:00 P.M.
Susan will be privately buried in Birchlawn Burial Park on a later date.
The Sadler family is in the care of A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, avestandsons.com, (5400 921-2985.

My prayers our prayers are with the family and friends at this time of grief. I will miss Susan and her posts. We have been friends on Facebook book for a long time and I did my best to always wish her a good morning and let her know how much I enjoyed her posts and wish her a happy and blessed day. I was stunned when I heard the news by her daughter. She was an inspiration to me in many ways. We will be in prayer for all of you.
