RSVP 9/11 Day of Service Project
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Montgomery County and Radford Advisory Council voted to send baskets filled with baked goods, prepackaged snacks, and note pads to twenty-two emergency service agencies in Montgomery County and the City of Radford. Over twenty volunteers and community members joined in to donate needed items! To ensure that the baskets were delivered before Patriot Day, nine community members and RSVP volunteers completed delivery of baskets and trays of baked goods on September 10th.
We would like to thank Supervisor Sherri Blevins, Montgomery County Administrator Craig Meadows, and Human Services Director Tonia Winn for your assistance with delivery and the ongoing support of RSVP Volunteers!
We would also like to thank Sharon Brown, Carol Trutt, Shirley Hallock, Cindy Minnick, Brenda Arnold, Rosemary Jones, and Shirley Mullins for your assistance with delivery!
Honor. Serve. Unite.: This September 11, Americans across the nation will mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11 attacks.
