Robertson, Ruth St.Clair

Ruth Stafford St. Clair Robertson, our dear mother, sadly passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 97 of Pearisburg, VA. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her, offering support, wisdom and love.

Ruth was a friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Her cherished friends offered love and support throughout her life. The family is grateful for the generosity and friendship given to Ruth. Ruth’s life was enriched by you.

Ruth was born at home in Bane, VA on August 16, 1926, to Charles Pendleton St. Clair and Minnie Stafford St. Clair. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, R.B. Hendrickson, Jr., her grandson Joshua Steven Hendrickson and four sisters, Louise Goetz, Katherine Robertson, Eleanor Thornhill and Mary George Day. Ruth is survived by daughters, Min Rose Hendrickson and Margaret Beatrice Hendrickson Jones (Andrew). Grandchildren, Callie Jones Turner (Andrew), Clair Jones Wilson (Keith), Tyler Hendrickson (Kelly), Jordan Hendrickson Castro (Matt), Beth Hendrickson Lewis (Nate) and Matthew Hendrickson. Ruth held dear five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 1pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 – 1pm. The family is being served by Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, (540) 921-1650; online at givensfuneralhome.com.
