Robertson, Jr., Charles Gordon

Charles Gordon Robertson, Jr., 69 of Narrows, VA passed away Thursday May 19, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a lifelong battle with heart disease. Known as “Butch” to all that knew him, he was born on April 27, 1953, to the late Charles Gordon Robertson, Sr., and Evelyn Josephine Roseberry Robertson.

Butch grew up in Narrows, where he was raised by his grandmother, Ethel Fletcher Nickerson and was a 1971 graduate of Narrows High School. He was employed for many years for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad.

He is survived by his 3 children, Selena Jo Lucas (Christopher) of Pearisburg, Jason Dean Robertson (Ashley) of Narrows, Joseph “Joey” Gordon Robertson of Ripplemead, his grandchildren, Lindsea Williams Ray (Trenton), Zachery Robertson, Ryan Williams, Jacob Robertson, Brody Robertson, Hayleeann Robertson, Emma Lucas and Sarah Lucas, one sister, Beverly Robertson Thompson of Pearisburg, 2 brothers, Jerry Robertson and Scott Robertson, both of Cleveland, OH, special cousins, Debbie Presson and Roger Johnston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
