Reed, Florence Elliott

Florence Ivory Elliott Reed, 87, of Christiansburg, VA, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was born on January 23, 1938 in Prices Fork, VA, the daughter of the late Thomas Curtis & Ella Elizabeth Elliott and was preceded in death by her brothers Hadley, Curtis, and Jack Elliott and her sisters, Audrey Elliott Reed, Doris Elliott Barnett, Helen Virginia Elliott, Mary Elliott Gardner, Bonnie Sue Elliott, and special nieces, Donna Bishop and Betsy Ward.

She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Daniel Lee & Gana Reed, Elliston, VA, and Roger Dean & Wanda Reed, Christiansburg, VA; her grandchildren, Pam & Jon Conner, Sonja & Steve Garber, Nathaniel Reed, Dwight & Alicia Reed, Adrienne & Jeff Smith, and Alicia Reed; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Florence got saved in the early 1980’s and her home church was Grace Covenant Tabernacle in Elliston, VA.

She worked at Cooks Clean Center for many years and then went to work at Wolverine Automotive, retiring after 34 years of service.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Vicky Akers, Linda Kinzer, Doug Gilmore and Gentiva Hospice for their care and support. They especially thank Ireland Elswick, her favorite nurse.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Snider Family Cemetery, 1633 Keisters Branch Rd. (Rt 718), Prices Fork, VA, with Rev. Doug Reed officiating. All are welcome to attend.
