Quilts in Our World
Now in its eighth year, American Craft Week is the nation’s largest celebration of handmade American craft. This year its focus is from October 6-15. To find out more about ACW, please visit www.americancraftweek.com.
As part of the American Craft Week theme, our exhibit contains works of art that use quilts as part of the theme. Large or small, in a group effort or produced singly, featuring Traditional fabric quilts, Historic quilts, smaller fabric and modern usage of quilted pieces, painted quilts, barn quilts, photographs of quilts, quilts as a part of a painting, or any other quilt-related item.
The exhibit will be opening at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, Tuesday, October 3rd, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and run Monday – Friday, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm thru Tuesday, October 31st, with a reception from 2-4 pm the afternoon of Sunday, October 8th.
