Victoria (Mroz) Pladek of Christiansburg VA, a longtime resident of Blairstown, NJ died peacefully in her sleep on December 28th, 2020. She was 74.

Victoria was someone everyone thought of as a friend, and a person you always went to to talk about your problems. She loved deep, meaningful conversations with not only family and friends but strangers as well. Victoria always saw the good in everyone she met and did not have a mean bone in her body. She was an avid reader, usually sitting outside with a cup of coffee to read a novel in the sunshine. She was also an animal lover, rescuing several dogs and cats over the years. She could never drive by an antique store without stopping in to look and enjoyed going to flea market or estate sales on the weekend. Victoria was always fond of going out to lunch or dinner with her friends and just loved to spend time with her family no matter the occasion. Her wit and charm was appreciated by many and she had a wonderful contagious laugh.

One of her favorite movies was “A Christmas Story” and she very much enjoyed torturing her children by making them watch the movie with her in July. Hold your family close because life is “Fra-gee-lee”.

She was a devoted mother to Rachel Casapulla, Randy Pladek and Melanie Vargas, loving sister of Joseph Mroz and Ellen Zukoski and caring grandmother to Joey, Noah and Ian. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Victoria graduated in 1968 as an RN from St. Francis School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ. She retired in her 60’s after a prolific nursing career of over 40 years, ending with overseeing mental health services for the State of New Jersey.

Memorial services will be held in the Spring of 2021. If you would like to be notified of future services or pay your respects to the family, please send inquires to PO Box 745, Blairstown, NJ 07825 or call/text (484) 546-1253.

Life is like a book. Some chapters sad, some happy and some exciting. But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds.
