New River Stage Presents Decision Height
Take to the sky as New River Stage presents their latest production, “Decision Height” by Meredith Levy. The show chronicles a group of women during World War II as they fight their way through training to become members of the Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) program. Here, at the only training base for women in history, these pilots learn the strength of sisterhood and awaken to a deeper sense of purpose as they discover exactly why it is they fly.
For director Lincoln Sklar the show feels a lot like coming home. “I started learning to fly through the Civil Air Patrol when I was 12 years old. Teaching these women about the joys of flying has been a trip down memory lane.”
To honor the roots of the show, the July 14 performance is free to veteran and active duty military with valid ID. The show runs July 14, 15, 21, and 22. Tickets are available online at newriverstage.org or by phone at 540-585-4295.
