Neal, Sebrina Hobbs
Sebrina Hobbs Neal, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at Heritage Hall-Rich Creek, enveloped by the warmth of a community that had become her extended family. Born on January 2, 1965, in Giles County, Virginia, Sebrina’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of compassion.
Sebrina’s early years in Giles County were filled with the simple joys of rural life, where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and the bonds of community. Her infectious smile made her a beloved figure from a young age. As she grew, so did her capacity for love, a trait that would define her life and relationships.
Throughout her life, Sebrina was a beacon of strength and nurturing for her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Dustin Neal, who with his wife Aubrey brought joy into her life, and Belle Munsey, whose husband William stood by her side. Sebrina’s world was further brightened by the laughter and wonder of her cherished grandchildren, Caroline Munsey and Gabriella Neal. Their presence added a sparkle to her eyes and an extra beat to her heart.
Sebrina was a dutiful daughter to her mother, Minnie Belle Surratt Warner, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished memories. Her brother, Bo Hobbs, and her sisters, Monica Carbaugh (Troy) and Shelly Cardwell, will remember Sebrina affectionately. They, along with her best friends, Gail Spicer Duncan and Teresa Henry, will carry forward the legacy of her warmth and generosity. Her love extended beyond her human connections to her adored fur grandbabies, Miley and Riley, who were constant companions and a source of unconditional love and comfort throughout her life.
Sebrina’s professional life was marked by the same care and attention she gave to her personal relationships. Her colleagues and those she served became an intrinsic part of her world. The staff at Heritage Hall, were not just caregivers but had become family to her, reciprocating the love and care she had so freely given to others throughout her life.
Sebrina’s passing was preceded by her father, Richard Hobbs Sr., whose memory she held close to her heart. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family—both born and made.
