Nash, Ronnie Lee

Nash, Ronnie LeeRonnie Lee ‘Happy Jack’ Nash, 68 of Shawsville, formerly of Tazewell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home. Born October 1, 1955, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Walter Jackson Nash and Pearl Kate Moore Nash.

Ronnie was a 1974 graduate of Pocahontas High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Ronnie was a former employee of Tazewell Industries in Tazewell before becoming disabled.

His greatest love was his faith and the Lord Jesus Chris. Ronnie loved his family and friends who all knew him as ‘Happy Jack.’ He was blessed with a talent to be able to draw anything he wanted to or anything that was put in front of him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Guy Nash, Glenn Nash; and a sister, Shirley Porm.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Charles Ray Nash (Debbie) of Bristol, VA; sisters, Betty Keen (Vernie) of Crossville, TN, Brenda Sheets (Rudy) of Abb’s Valley, VA, and Rennie Honosky (Henry) of Shawsville, VA, whom he made his home with and was his caregiver for the past 8 years. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was proud to be a United States Army veteran. So in keeping with his wishes, he will be laid to rest at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery at 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, VA 24084.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Ronnie at VFW Post 1184, P. O. Box 2005, Pulaski, VA 24301-1911.
