Narcotics Investigation

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, officers with the Blacksburg Police Department, Virginia State Police, Christiansburg Police Department, and deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence on Cedar Hill Drive.

During the search of the residence, officers located 2 semi-automatic rifles and narcotics. The resident, Tobias Dominique Hardwick, was later arrested in Radford, Virginia by members of the Radford Police Department, US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

Hardwick is charged with one count of violating Virginia Code § 18.2-248 (possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance). Hardwick is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with no bond.
