Mullins, Shannon Jasper

Shannon Jasper Mullins, 69 of Pembroke, Virginia departed this life February 27, 2024 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in McDowell County, WV on January 1, 1955 he was a son of the late Shannon Mullins Sr. and Eula Mae King Mullins.

Shannon enjoyed the work of building with Branch Construction. He especially enjoyed the fruits of his labor as he would review the outcomes of his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed building churches and homes with popsicle sticks.

In addition to his parents, Shannon is preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Mullins and Cecil Mullins; and sisters, Wanda Mullins, Christina Mullins, and Joyce Mullins.

Left to cherish his memory are his childhood sweetheart and wife, Frances McPeak Mullins; brother, Leroy Mullins; sisters, Frances Mullins, Dorothy Mitchem (Kenneth), Shelby Sink (Casey), and Regina Shoto; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; along with a special niece Marie (Junior).

There will be no service at this time as it was his wish to be cremated. The family requests in lieu of flowers to send memorial contributions to Kendall Funeral Home to assist in offsetting the cost of the arrangements.
