Mullins, Mackie Claude 4Mackie Claude Mullins, 79, passed away July 2, 2019, in Naples, FL. Born March 12, 1943, in Rich Creek, VA, he was the son of the late Preston and Birdie Elswick Mullins. Mackie was a US Army Veteran, earning the expert rifleman medal. He retired from Appalachian Power after 42 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Suttle Mullins; his daughter, Tanya Hope Mullins; his brothers, Bill, Burns, Roy, Junior, Arnold, Earl, Fearl; his sisters, Cassie Damiano and Shirley Burson; his stepmother, Lora Ferguson Mullins; and one stepsister, Patricia Hare. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Vaught Mullins and family Julie, Donny, Kearn, Macy Kate, Chris, and Kim; his stepson, Anthony Caudill and wife Bobbie; his son, Jason Mullins and wife Maria; his grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsey, Aleah, Gracie, Mason, Melina; one great grandson, Guy Jackson; two stepbrothers, Andy Wimmer and wife Gracie and Bill Wimmer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mackie will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA, prior to a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Rich Creek Park from 5pm to 9pm.
