Montgomery County man charged with second degree murder
During the course of the investigation the remains of Crystal Hannah were located in a wooded area in the 2600 block of Northfork Road in Elliston.
After consulting with the Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney, 38 year old James Hunter Stallard was charged with second degree murder and concealing a dead body. Stallard is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.

I was married to crystal’s uncle, Boyd Harless, many years ago. Crystal was just a small child. She was immensely loved by her family. Although I haven’t had contact with her family for many years, it breaks my heart to know her family has taken such a loss. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I went to school with Hunter. Never have I thought of him this way. I can’t believe all the damage and heartbreak he has caused. It’s so terrible. To hurt his children to have to grow up knowing their dad is a killer.. and then to take Crystal’s live. When he should’ve walked away. I keep asking myself why or how he could’ve been so cold. To take a young mother of 4 kids. And grand babie. It’s so tragic. But it’s gonna come out. Who was involved that maybe could’ve stopped all this. It’s just so sad.

My gf was married to this trash so believe me I didn’t like him the first time I heard about what he has done to her. She woke me up last night and said everything going through her head she couldn’t rest. This guy hurt people who couldn’t defend themselves,he manipulated and tricked and everything a dumpster like him does. He will run from a fight with a man but will face a woman head on. This guy needs to pay the ultimate price for not just this poor girl but what he’s done to every single woman he’s had relationships with. Prayers for Crystal Raines children and family
